Images of C/2004 Q2 (Machholz), obtained through narrow band filters centered at 513.5nm (C2 emission) and
645nm (dust continuum). The C2 emissions frame (cleaned from dust contaminations) shows a very extended
coma, with a relatively small gradient. While the dust coma is oriented differently and its gradient is very
steep. To be noticed, there is also a nice spiral-like feature emanating from the central condensation, not
