Total Eclipse of the Moon, March 3-4, 2007 Graph of atmospheric extinction (up) and sky brightness in R band (down), measured during the total Moon eclipse Mar. 3-4, 2007 with the All-sky camera. During the totality, the sky was unusually dark for this location, reaching magnitude 20.9/square arc sec in R filter. During the normal moonless nights, the darkest sky readings are around 20.6 - 20.8 magnitude. Darkest readings were confirmed with several measurements obtained with Unihedron sky quality meter yielding values around 21.4 magnitude. Copyright © 2007 by PIKA, Črni Vrh Observatory. |
